AASP Special Interest Groups (SIG)
Purpose
- To stimulate scholarly and professional growth
- Increase interest in a particular, focused, topic
Benefits
- Opportunity to work with other AASP members who are passionate about a focused scholarly and/or professional practice topic
- An annual SIG meeting at the AASP conference
- Recognition of the SIG on the AASP web site and the opportunity to attract new group members
Creating a New SIG
- Identify at least 10 current AASP members interested in forming the SIG
- Generate a name for the SIG and the SIG mission statement
- Complete the SIG Proposal Form (now available online in the member's area)

To join or learn more about a particular SIG, contact the SIG Coordinator.
If you would like to coordinate a SIG in need of a coordinator, contact the Research and Practice Division Head, Christy Greenleaf.
Interested individuals also are encouraged to attend any of the SIG meetings held at the AASP annual conference.
