AASP Special Interest Groups (SIG)

 

Purpose

  • To stimulate scholarly and professional growth
  • Increase interest in a particular, focused, topic  

Benefits

  • Opportunity to work with other AASP members who are passionate about a focused scholarly and/or professional practice topic
  • An annual SIG meeting at the AASP conference
  • Recognition of the SIG on the AASP web site and the opportunity to attract new group members 

Creating a New SIG

  • Identify at least 10 current AASP members interested in forming the SIG
  • Generate a name for the SIG and the SIG mission statement
  • Complete the SIG Proposal Form (now available  online in the member's area
