Angie is the sole member of Breakthrough Performance Consulting, LLC, in Pittsburgh, PA. The practice focus is helping performers to break through to a new level of excellence utilizing mental skills to prepare, compete, and recover at the top of their abilities. For the past seven years, she spent time as a Performance Psychology Trainer at the United States Military Academy at West Point. She provided performance excellence training including confidence building, attention and focus training, effective goal setting, stress and energy management, and visualization to numerous Division I and club teams and individuals.
Angie also provided monthly leadership training to all of the West Point athletic team captains. Angie earned a B.S. in Kinesiology and Psychology from Penn State University, her masters in Sport and Exercise Psychology from California State University at Fullerton, and a Ph.D. in Sport and Exercise Psychology from Michigan State University. She is a Certified Mental Performance Consultant (CMPC) with the Association for Applied Sport Psychology. Angie has worked with a variety of coaches, teams, and individual athletes guiding their mental conditioning development as they strive for excellence in their performance domain at Michigan State and then as a post-doctoral intern at the University of Georgia. Personally, Angie practices performance excellence herself as a marathoner, ultra-marathoner, and a three-time Ironman finisher.
