Notice About Non-CMPC Approved Mentor Renewal Process and Timeline

The initial launch of the Certified Mental Performance Consultant® (CMPC) Certification Program was on October 1, 2017. During this time, procedures were put in place so non-CMPC individuals have an application pathway to become listed in the Registry of Approved Mentors by applying and being approved by the Certification Council's Mentoring Committee.

To maintain their listing in the Registry, non-CMPC mentors are required to renew their registration every 5 years and complete a minimum of 15 CEUs in professional practice areas, including 6 CEUs in the areas of mentorship/supervision.

The Certification Council has established a policy that all non-CMPC mentors who were admitted to the Registry of Approved Mentors prior to January 1, 2023 will be up for renewal in 2027. The renewal application period is September 1 - November 30, 2027. When your renewal year approaches, you will receive an email letting you know how to submit your application.

If you are considering renewal of your registration, please become familiar with the requirements as specified in the Candidate Handbook. Because renewal requires specific continuing education experiences, it is recommended that you review these requirements now and periodically so that you will be eligible for renewal in the future should you wish to maintain your listing on the Registry of Approved Mentors.
