NOVEMBER & DECEMBER DIVERSITY MONTH ANNOUNCEMENTS

Greetings AASP! In November, we celebrate National Native American Heritage Month, Movember, and the Transgender Day of Remembrance.

To learn more about contribution of Native Indians to American History, please visit the Native American Heritage Month website. The Movember Foundation is dedicated to making a difference through raising awareness about prostate and testicular cancer, mental health, and suicide prevention in men. Learn more about the foundation and organize a Movember Challenge by visiting the Movember website.

The Transgender Day of Remembrance honors the lives of people who lives were lost due to anti-transgender violence. Become a part of the Together Movement and its &Together campaign to work against transphobia.

In December, there are three important days we'd like to draw your attention to: World AIDS Day on Dec. 1, International Day of Persons With Disabilities on Dec. 3, and Human Rights Day on Dec. 10. To learn more about these three days and ways to get involved, visit the World AIDS DayInternational Day of Persons with Disabilities, and Human Rights Day websites. Finally, keep an eye out for this month’s tweets and Facebook posts.
