Speakers
Jess Bartley, PsyD, CMPC, University of Denver
Vana Hutter, PhD, VU University Amsterdam

Overview
This webinar will highlight the different stages that aspiring CMPCs go through in their professional development and typical needs, struggles, and learning experiences that come with those stages. The supervisor, as "tour guide," should know the:

  • Audience to be guided - which developmental stages occur;
  • Landscape to be visited - which learning activities are available, which obstacles may arise; and
  • Must-sees of the area - which advice and experiences are indispensable

... all the while keeping the journey safe and useful for all involved. In the webinar, attendees can expect to learn how the research on these topics translates to practice and how a comprehensive supervision and mentorship structure functions in an academic sport and performance psychology program.

Target Audience
The target audience for this webinar is established supervisors who are currently supervising master's students, doctoral students, and early career professionals seeking their CMPC certification. Students and supervisees may also benefit from attending the webinar.
