Rob Owens, Research & Practice Division Head

Dr. Rob Elliott Owens, CMPC, CSCS, BCC, NCC is a leadership/mindset performance and wellbeing coach. Dr. Owens consults with healthcare and business executives, and first responders. Dr. Owens is the former chair of the Association for Applied Sport Psychology (AASP) Diversity Committee, helped establish AASP’s Advocacy Committee, and co-created AASP’s Diversity in Sport and Culture course. Dr. Owens currently chairs the Distinguished Professional Practitioner’s Award (DPPA) Committee and serves on the CMPC Certification Council. In addition to his coaching and consultant work, Dr. Owens has taught workshops and college-level courses on leadership development; diversity and inclusion; positive coaching; health and wellness; and group, team, and organizational dynamics. He is a board-certified leadership and executive coach and a nationally certified counselor.
