Bio
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) within the State of Illinois specializing in Sport and Human Performance and Alcohol and Drug use. I utilize a mix of EMDR, Brainspotting, and Mindfulness based techniques to aide in maintaining or improving performance across a wide variety of populations and specialties. I will meet you with a respectful curiosity that treats “you” as the unique individual that you are and collaborates with you to help you get to where you want to go.
"Performance" to me is our moment-to-moment movement (conscious or otherwise) throughout our lifespan. Gaining the awareness of this movement allows us to direct ourselves towards what we find most important. Intention then becomes how we stay in-tune with what we want to be doing, when, and where we want to go. Feeling like you don't know what you're doing when the moment is too tense? Feeling tense, hypervigilant, or frozen? Does an injury have you feeling lost and/or purposeless? Feeling like you're going through the motions or don't know where to go next? Let's work on thawing out, drawing attention to ourselves, and develop skills to keep us moving as intentionally as possible.
