Bio
Dr. Nick Galli is a sport counselor in the Department of Athletics at The University of Utah, and a mental performance consultant focused on the development of mental toughness in athletes. He holds a Ph.D. in Exercise and Sport Science with a specialization in the Psychosocial Aspects of Sport from the University of Utah, and is recognized as a Certified Mental Performance Consultant by the Association for Applied Sport Psychology (AASP). In his 15 years of coaching the mental game, Dr. Galli has worked with individual athletes and teams ranging from the youth to the professional level. He has written numerous research articles in professional journals such as The Sport Psychologist and The Psychology of Sport and Exercise, and provided his expertise on the mental aspects of athletic performance to stories published in Runner’s World and Men’s Health. Dr. Galli aims to help athletes and exercisers reach their potential by teaching them to “think better,” and offering them practical strategies for taking control of their mind and performance. Since 2016 he has worked as the mental performance coach for U.S. Speedskating.
