Bio
Dr. Vealey was drawn to sport psychology consulting from her experiences as a college basketball player and coach. She has a Ph.D. in kinesiology with a concentration in sport psychology from the University of Illinois. She is a Professor at Miami University in Ohio, where she has been a faculty member since 1984. Her consulting experience includes youth, high school, collegiate, and elite athletes in the sports of basketball, volleyball, golf, swimming, softball, field hockey, Ice hockey, soccer, skating, and skiing. Dr. Vealey is also active in coaching education, as author of the book Coaching for the Inner Edge: Practical Sport Psychology for Coaches. She is also co-author of Best Practice for Youth Sport with Melissa Chase.
