AASP Special Interest Groups (SIG)

Purpose


Benefits

  • Opportunity to work with other AASP members who are passionate about a focused scholarly and/or professional practice topic
  • An annual SIG meeting at the AASP conference
  • Recognition of the SIG on the AASP website and the opportunity to attract new group members 

Creating a New SIG

  • Identify at least 10 current AASP members interested in forming the SIG
  • Generate a name for the SIG and the SIG mission statement
  • Complete the SIG Proposal Form

SIG & Coordinator Responsibilities

  • Coordinators will complete and submit an annual report of SIG activities and membership to the Membership Services Division Head
  • SIGs will undergo a review once every two years; inactive SIGs will be discontinued
