Dr. Jesse Steinfeldt is a Professor of Counseling Psychology at Indiana University as well as a certified Sport Psychologist (CC-AASP). He created and directs the IU Sport and Performance Psychology Practicum Program, wherein he trains advanced doctoral students who provide Sport and Performance Psychology and consultative services to college (Indiana University) and high school (Mooresville, Edgewood) student-athletes, teams and coaches. Graduate students who are interested in becoming a licensed psychologist with a clinical and curricular competence in Sport and Performance Psychology should contact Dr. Steinfeldt for information on the IU Counseling Psychology PhD program.
Dr. Steinfeldt also completed a yearlong clinical sabbatical in Seattle where he was a Senior Sport Psychology Fellow at the University of Washington, providing Sport and Performance Psychology and consultative services to Husky student-atheltes, coaches, and teams, while also serving as a Senior Fellow in Neurosurgery, providing neuropsychological assessments at Seattle Children's Hospital to adolescent student-athletes who suffered sport concussions (mTBI). A Yale graduate and a former multi-sport collegiate and professional athlete, Jesse and his wife Erica live in Bloomington with their three children (Aaron--20, Addison--19, Aidan--17).
